My Motto - "The Golden Rule"
Welcome to the Official International Website of Mutia Clan - Kabanay Sa Mga Mutia, Inc. (KSMMI). From the Philippine island of Bohol where our original ancestors migrated from the towns of Loay and Loboc; to the land of promise Mindanao, where our Mutia ancestors settled in small towns of Aloran, Plaridel and Calamba in the province of Misamis Occidental; through the high seas/oceans, mountains and plains - we are reaching out to our Mutia family all over the world. Our mission is to unite all Mutia from all parts of this planet in the spirit of family love, values, ties, and friendship. This site serves as a focal point for all Mutia who are interested in finding and learning more about their heritage - family roots. Your name may spell as "Mutya," but your ancestors can be traced back from the same Mutia family tree in Bohol. Flags representing the countries where Mutia exists or co-existed will be shown on this site. By this token, you can visit and connect with them at no cost, no international flight, nor passport and visa involved, but a click with your fingertips.

This website is inspired by the finding of Susan D. Mutia. In August 2003, Susan stumbled upon the initial launching of this website and initiated an internet query. And so, the rest is history. Susan is the granddaughter of Benito Mutia. Benito was a descendant of Eusebio, one of the Mutia patriarchs who migrated from Loboc, Bohol to the town of Aloran, Misamis Occidental.

This site is dedicated to honor all our ancestors who, in their lifetime, have always wanted to maintain a cohesive Mutia family. We should show our Mutia name through the minds and spirits of our children. As a parent I have always taught my children to learn and value their family history. Valuing our ancestors' work to keep the family ties strong means keeping their legacy alive as well. By having this website, we can fulfill their dreams of creating a cohesive environment where a droplet of Mutia blood serves as the glue to keep the family together. The Mutia legacy is represented through the attributes that you and I have within ourselves. The Mutia attributes consist of love, kindness, compassion, determination, hardwork and tenacity. Undeniably, the Mutia people are beautiful human beings.

This website is still under construction, however, it is being incorporated with the "Kabanay Sa Mga Mutia, Inc" (KSMMI) of the Philippines. As I receive information and materials, each page and design will change as needed. Although genealogical research is a time-consuming and cumbersome task, we can fulfill our mission with your help. The creation of this site will also depend on the helpful information that you provide. By that token, we can "connect the dots" of our scattered families and bring them all together into this site. Please feel free to e-mail information and materials directly to:   mutiaofelia@yahoo.com

Thank you, Take Care and God Bless!!!
