History of the Origin of Mutia

Mutia - what is it and where did we come from? According to the recorded history of the muslim family of Mindanao, the name Mutia is originated from the Scion of Royal Sultanate Families of Mindanao (native) and the Sarif educator and preacher of Islam from the Middle East and other Muslim countries in Asia. The following are traceable line of Mutia existence.

Unified in their Muslim Faith, the Scion of Royal Sultanate Families of Mindanao, Philippines were spreading their existence by marriage.

  • SANDAB married KENTAYAN of Unayan, Lanao del Norte, Mindanao, Philppines. They bore six (6) children, namely:
    • Ruwasan   (of tribe Madalum)
    • Madalendeg   (of tribe Ramain)
    • Didawa   (of tribe Unayan)
    • Aldao   (of tribe Barera)
    • Medag   (of tribe Kalalanuan)
    • MANKEYANG   (of tribe Munai)

Together, the revelation of the Mutia blood is now unfolding. From the Sarif Islam educator and preacher from the Middle East.

  • SHARIEF ALAWI of tribe Tagolo-an in Mindanao, Philippines - bore one (1) son, namely:
    • LIMBOBONGAN   - who bore one (1) daughter, namely:
      • KAMAYONGAN   - who bore one (1) daughter, namely:
        • DIRUWASAN   - of tribe Baloi

Invincibly, the Sultanate of Munai was formed between the union of MANKEYANG of Tribe Unayan (who was one of the six the descendants of the Scion Royal Sultanate Families of Mindanao); and DIRUWASAN of Tribe Baloi (who was the descendant of the Sharif Sultanate of Tagalo-an, Mindanao). They bore four (4) children, namely:

  • Obinay
  • Riyona
  • Labia
  • Balowa

Affably, we maybe able to trace our existence from the Sultanate of Munai. LABIA married Salaginto Mawaraw (Mamintal), the son of a descendant of another Unayan Tribe. In their happy marriage, they produced two (2) children, namely:

  • ONGGES
  • MUTIA

The daughter, MUTIA was married to PIPISA DATU (the son of Kandara Datu - who was the descendant of Datu Palao of Ramain and Paramata Asya, a descendant of Royal Blood of Lanao and Radia Sirungan of Maguindanao, who was the direct descendant of Sarief Kabungsuan of Maguindanao). The marriage of Mutia and Pipisa Datu produced seven (7) children, namely:

  • BANDARA of Munai/Rarab - descendant of the prominent Muslim families of the Municipalities of Munai, Tangkal, and Magsaysay, Lanao del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines.

  • KUNGKAY of Lala - descendant of the prominent Muslim families of the Municipalities of Lala and Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines

  • ANSABO of Sapan - descendant of the prominent Muslim families of the Municipality of Sapad, Lanao del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines.

  • ARABON of Pagayawan - descendant of the prominent Muslim families of the Municipality of Salvador, Lanao del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines.

  • TUMANGGONG of Karkum/Buntong - descendant of the prominent families of the Municipality of Nunungan, Lanao del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines.

  • MAINAND of Unayan - descendant of the prominent families of the Municipalities of Madamba and Madalom, Lanao del Norte in Mindanao, Philippines.

  • WATAMAMA or JUAN TAMAKTAMAK - the 7th son maybe the original Root of the Christian Mutia family whose children were spread throughout the province of Misamis Occidental, Bohol and other parts of the Philippines, and even abroad.

Inconclusively, I theorize that Juan Tamaktamak or "Watamama" (as he was called in his Muslim name), and which his name was meaningfully labelled as "Tamak-Tamak" may have successfully and fruitfully completed his migratory network of Mutia families all over the Philippines.
